The Posture Stack

Stack your joints like building blocks

Good posture isn't standing stiff like a soldier — it's stacking your joints like building blocks so your muscles barely have to work at all. Let's check your stack!

The stack

From the side, a well-stacked body lines up like blocks: ear over shoulder, shoulder over hip, hip over knee, knee over ankle. When the blocks stack, your bones hold you up and your muscles just gently balance. When blocks slip — like a head poking forward at a screen — muscles must fight gravity all day and get tired and achy.

The screen slump

Your head is as heavy as a bowling ball (Lesson 22). Every centimetre it pokes forward, your neck muscles carry a much heavier load — like holding a bowling ball at arm's length instead of close. That's the science behind the 'screen slump' ache. Stacking back up is the fix — gentle observation, not a test!

Stop if you feel pain. Move gently. This is a check-in, not a test.
